Elevator Songbird

INT. AN ELEVATOR IN A HIGH RISE BUILDING ON WALL STREET-MONDAY MORNING

Kylie is in a very crowded elevator. People are literally all
over each other. Worse than the smush room on Jersey Shore.

There is silence.

KYLIE
(hums “Rock Party Anthem” by LMFAO)
“Everybody in the house tonight.
Everybody’s gonna have a good
time.”

Everyone else is silent.

KYLIE (CONT’D)
“Do de do do de do dodo”

The other people in the elevator look at her with annoyance.

KYLIE (CONT’D)
( singing a little louder now)

“Everybody in the house tonight,
Everybody’s gonna have a good
time.”

ELEVATOR PASSENGER
Could you please keep it down, it’s
8:10 in the morning.

KYLIE
Sorry, I just love that song, you
know. It’s my jam!

ELEVATOR PASSENGER
It’s a great song, don’t get me
wrong, but it’s just early.

CUT TO:

ELEVATOR PASSENGER”S APARTMENT.
Elevator passenger is singing “Rock Party Anthem” in the
shower.

CUT TO:

INT. ELEVATOR - THE NEXT DAY

The doors open and more passengers get on. Kylie begins to
softly sing.

KYLIE
(starts to sing
“California Girls” by
Katy Perry)
“California girls, we’re
unforgettable. Daisy Dukes, bikinis
on top.”

The passengers start to hum back up.

KYLIE (CONT’D)
(smiling)
“California girls are so
undeniable. Fine, fresh, fierce, we
got it on lock”

Now everyone is singing along.
The doors open, and the head of the company get’s on.
Silence. Kylie begins to sing.

KYLIE (CONT’D)
(starts singing “Born This
Way” by Lady Gaga)
“My mama told me when I was young.
We are all born superstars.”

The boss looks at Kylie, rips off his suit, revealing a Lady
Gaga condom suit, and begins moving his hands (jazz hand
style). He belts it.

THE BOSS
“She rolled my hair and put my
lipstick on. In the glass of her
boudoir.”

Now the whole elevator is singing “Glee” style.

EVERYONE
“Don’t hide yourself in regret.
Just love yourself and you’re set.
I’m on the right track, baby I was
born this way”.

The elevator doors open.

Everyone exits as if nothing has happened.
